"George White's Scandals" is very precode! Wish there was a better version, I have 2 versions.

While she is not typically considered a pre-code actress, Alice Faye (May 5, 1915 - May 9, 1998) began her film career in the final year of precode, in musicals, comedy, and drama. Originally promoted as a singing Jean Harlow (hence the pencil-thin eyebrows) she made her debut in "George White's Scandals" (1934) at Fox and became the studio's leading lady of the era. She was next paired with Lew Ayres in "She Learned About Sailors" (1934), and then she played Spencer Tracy's mistress in "Now I'll Tell" (1934), before concluding the pre-code era with "365 Nights In Hollywood" (1934). The recording for the video comes directly from "George White's Scandals" and all of these films are in the public domain, so please overlook and forgive any video/audio issues.

I was on the same plane with Yvette M once..I was going back to college at Western State in Colorado and Yvette was heading to Crested Butte Colo. to appear in the straight to video movie called Snow Beast....Need less to say at that point her career was pretty much kaput....She was quite snooty so I lost some of my appreciation for her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just watched (mostly heard) this movie while working today did not know Dabney Coleman was in it. My dad often quoted the Alva / JJ scene toward the end

I never viewed VOTD as a camp movie. It’s more like a melodrama or late night soap opera. It dealt with topics that were considered taboo at the time and it exposed drug abuse in Hollywood. All of the leading ladies did a fantastic job considering what they had to work with.
